Rep Barbara Lee at The Villages
The upcoming Primary Election on March 5 has many interesting people running for office.
Perhaps foremost is the race to fill Dianne Feinstein’s vacant Senate seat.
The Villages Democratic Club hosted Congresswoman Barbara Lee (12th District) on Wednesday January 24.
Speaking to a capacity audience of more than 120 Villagers, Rep Lee put on a masterful presentation for us.
Speaking ad lib, she managed to cover the story of her rise from immigrant poverty, single parenting and California State Senator as well as her many accomplishments as a Representative in the House from 1998.
She then entertained a gamut of questions from the floor covering topics from homelessness, affordable housing, healthcare and reproductive rights.
A round of applause from an appreciative audience brought the evening to a close with a much better understanding of one of the Senate candidates on the March 5 ballot.
